Call for Papers

Topics:

The study offers insights on how to enable businesses uncover valuable factors for their own organizational growth through applying your applicable business models/ frameworks:

  • Review your core capabilities and identify your areas/ opportunities for growth for your business.
  • With careful consideration of your core value(s), vision, key strengths and competencies, pinpoint what your business really needs to be good at.
  • As a business leader, what are the immediate, short-term and long-term goals you aim to achieve? How do these goals relate to your vision?
  • Through internally managed activities, recognize the resources required to effectively implement your factors of growth.
  • Critically discuss how you plan to collaborate with your team/ colleagues towards executing your factors of growth.
Specific themes to be addressed include:

  • Enterprise
  • Growth Drivers
  • Management Practices
  • SMEs
  • Sustainability

Background:

Astute Business Leaders are always on the look-out for opportunities that will drive growth for their organizations or specific aspects of their business. It is no wonder that such leaders are extremely selective on involving themselves with enterprises or executive education programs that will equip and offer them practical steps towards addressing their current and emerging business needs & challenges including empowering them towards implementing their drivers/ factors of growth. Arguably, identifying factors of growth and the ‘right’ implementation of the factors are even more vital for small sized business enterprises, as these could be their lifeline for productivity and (enhanced) sustainability in a fast-evolving market environment.

Goal/Rationale:

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are a strong asset or channel for partnerships, economic growth and different aspects of development for any country. Some countries boast of their innovative capabilities on a global platform because of the productivity of their SMEs. Nonetheless, evidence shows that small businesses still struggle due to the lack of adequate management practices. Therefore, this study, which draws attention to the urgent need to support small businesses towards the adoption of pertinent management practices for the purpose competing effectively and driving productivity, argues that the management practices can be fostered through enabling small businesses to clearly identify and effectively implement their factors of growth.
